    Hampta Pass, Himachal Pradesh

    Level of Difficulty: Moderate

    Location: Kullu

    Best season to go: June to early September

    Best way to reach: Bus

    Elevation: 4270m

    Hampta pass trek is situated between the Chandra Valley in Lahaul and the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. This pass contains vertical rock walls, waterfalls, hanging glaciers, small lakes, and many more things.

    Trekkers can go through Hampta Pass and go into the Lahaul region. The route has some great moving rivers and glaciers and thus it makes this trek thrilling and memorable, India’s best treks.

    Beas Kund trek, Himachal Pradesh

    Difficulty level: Moderate

    Location: Manali

    Best season to go: May to October

    Best way to reach: Bus

    Elevation: 3700m

    Beas Kund has some rich green grasslands in which there is a hidden lake. The lake is also the source of the Beas river and it is said that Sage Vyas, (who wrote Mahabharata) used to take baths in this lake.

    Chadar trek, Ladakh

    Difficulty level: Moderate to difficult

    Location: Leh

    Best season to go: is January to February

    Best way to reach there: Flight to Leh airport or you can take a bus via Manali

    Elevation: 3390m

    The Zanskar Gorge Trek is another name for the Chadar Trek. It is a one-way trek of almost 105km. At the time of trekking, the Zanskar river is frozen. The winds there are chilled and it takes about 7-9 days to complete this trek. This trekking can be done in groups and not alone. The total length of the trek is 62kms and every day it will take 5-6 hours of trekking which will be suitable.

    Nanda Devi trek, Uttarakhand

    Difficulty level: Moderate to difficult

    Location: Garhwal

    Best season to go: May to June and September to October

    Best way to reach there: Bus

    Elevation: 4150m

    Along these routes, there is the famous Nanda Devi National Park, small streams, glaciers, and many more. Nanda Devi is known as one of the highest mountains in India. The total trekking length is almost 55km and it will take you almost 8-9 days to complete the trek. Many flora and fauna can be seen along the way. Many rare species like musk deer, Himalayan black bear, Thar, and snow leopard can be seen.

    Goecha La trek, Sikkim

    Difficulty level: Difficult

    Location: Sikkim

    Best season to go: March-June and September-November

    Best way to reach there: Train, Flight

    Elevation: 4940m

    The great Kanchenjunga can be seen from this pass. The trek is very famous among people for its views of the mountains and the beautiful forests.

    You may also experience the clear blue sky and lakes. The trek can be very challenging but it is worth a chance because once you reach the top the view will be worth seeing.

    This trek will take almost 11 days to complete. New Jalpai Guri will be the nearest

    railway station and Bagdogra will be the nearest airport. The total trekking distance is

    about 90kms.

    Valley of flowers, Uttarakhand

    Difficulty level: Easy to moderate

    Location: Garhwal region

    Best season to go: July to September

    Best way to reach there: Bus

    Elevation: 3658m

    As the name says, Valley of Flowers has innumerable types of flowers that are a treat for the eyes. The Valley is covered from all sides by the mountains. The trekkers can experience the Valley of Flowers National Park which is famous for its flowers. This trek is best in monsoon season. This place is also believed to be the place from where Lord Hanuman brought the life-saving herb to save Lakshman.

    Roopkund trek, Uttarakhand

    Difficulty level: Moderate

    Location: Chamoli

    Best season to go: May to June and September to October

    Best way to reach there: Bus

    Elevation: 4500M

    There is a lake situated at the height of 5029m where you can find human skeletons at the bottom of the lake. The passage has rich green forests, numerous

    birds, temples, and many more things. It may take up to 8 days to complete the trek.

    Great Lakes trek Jammu & Kashmir

    Difficulty level: Moderate to difficult

    Location: Sonmarg

    Best season to go: June, September October

    Best way to reach there: Flight

    Elevation: 4200m

    The trek is very famous for its exceptional seven glacial lakes that are visible as they are staying one after another. Many streams, brooks, and forests just enhance the beauty of this trek. The trek is about 72kms and it may take up to 7 days to complete it. The expedition starts from Sonmarg and ends at Narang. Jammu will be the nearest railway station and Srinagar is the nearest Airport.

    Rajmachi trek, Maharashtra

    Difficulty level: Easy

    Location: Lonavala

    Best season to go: June to Mid-November

    Best way to reach: train, flight, bus

    Elevation: 838m

    This trek is best for beginners. This trek is situated 15kms from Lonavala and it can be completed in a day. The site here is the Rajmachi Fort, built by Shivaji.

    This trek can be reached from the Lonavala side or the Karjat side.
